Missions Ministry

We believe that we are called to further the Kingdom of God and make disciples in many nations. As a result, Bulverde Baptist Church supports missions and missionaries globally through donations to the IMB, supporting missionaries in Ecuador, yearly trips to Ecuador, and local missions.

There are several opportunities throughout the year for you to contribute to missions, whether that be financially, through prayer, or even through going on various trips that we plan.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

Location: Copacabana, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Dates: 5-11 June 2024

Activities: We will be encouraging, helping train, and celebrating New Hope Church's 3rd anniversary.

Notes: A mission team from our church did prayer walks, evangelistic visits, and helped start this church. It is in a very affluent part of Rio, which has it's unique challenges. We will make some evangelistic visits, but will primarily lead some seminars to reinforce the pastor's discipleship efforts.
    - Sunday, we will worship with them and celebrate their 3rd anniversary.
    - Monday, we can do some sightseeing before going to the airport to come home.
    - You will have the option to stay extra day(s) for tourism and shopping.

Cost Estimate: $900.00 - $1,000.00 per person

Traveler Eligibility: Adults and teenagers

BRAZILIAN AMAZON, BRAZIL

Location: Amazon jungle village located several hours boat ride from Manaus, State of Amazonas, Brazil.

Dates:
Trip #1: 1-9 August 2024
Trip #2: September 2024 (dates to be determined)

Activities: Construction - Build house/church for the Brazilian Home Mission Board

Notes: The Brazilian Baptist Home Mission Board is trying to plant these house/churches in villages, up and down the many rivers in the state, which are most only accessible by boat. This is a huge help to the Brazilian missionary/church planters.
    - We will fly into Manaus (the state capital of Amazonas) and take a several hour boat ride to get to the village where we will build a house/church.
    - It will be an all wood structure with a small apartment across the back and a meeting area in the front part.
    - No skilled experience is required.
    - Accommodations will be more rustic.
    - You will have the option to stay extra day(s) to do tourism, fishing.
