WHAT
Discipleship Now (DNOW) is a weekend retreat for 6th -12th grader students. This event takes place from Friday night till Sunday morning. Students will participate in large group worship, small group Bible studies, and Saturday outreach/recreation activities. Church members host the students in their homes, which are organized by grade and gender. Each group is led by one of our adult or college leaders, who have cleared background checks, thorough interviews, and appropriate training.

D-NOW will take place at Bulverde Baptist Church as well as the participating Host Home locations located throughout the Spring Branch and Bulverde area.
High schoolers: Will spend the night at host homes
Middle schoolers: Will NOT spend the night at host homes

SPEAKER: Runks Runkles

Gospel is still the power of the Gospel and no matter how crazy antagonistic our culture may seem to be towards the Gospel it is still the power of God for salvation for all people. So Runks, in his unique way, unashamedly and refreshingly preaches the Gospel with passion and relevance. However, Runks’ message is not just about getting saved (trusting Christ), it’s about being saved (finding your identity in Christ), living saved (growing in relationship with Christ), and getting more people saved. etc. etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum Jesus saves y’all!! Nothing else matters!
Runks was a Youth Minister for 7 years and in 1998 began traveling the country sharing the Gospel to teenagers, college students, and adults. He holds a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and resides in Levelland, Texas. He and his amazing wife Joanna, have two awesome grown kids..
