Laschel Fox is the Minister to Children – Ministering to His Kids at BBC, as well as Moms, and organizing activities and events.
She was raised in the piney woods of East Texas, in a Christian home and began her journey with Jesus very early. She was confused about salvation for many years and finalized the adoption process – in her mind – while in college.She more actively began following Jesus in her twenties and knew she was called to ministry. She began ministering to young moms –through Women’s Ministry.Along with several other moms she organized Children’s activities and events, in 2006 and was brought on staff part-time as the first paid Children’s Director for BBC.
Laschel has an Associates Degree from Jacksonville, Baptist College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Baylor University.
Laschel is married to Jerry, the tall dark and handsome guy on the praise team.They began attending BBC in 2002. They have three children: John, recent graduate of Texas A&M University, Cav Scout in the Texas National Guard, who is married to her daughter in law, Kirby. Whitney is a sophomore at Texas A&M and a Co-Chair for IMPACT, a Christian organization serving Blinn and A&M, and Rylie who is a Sophomore at Smithson Valley High School and is active in BBC Students.
Laschel has a passion for connecting people to the peace Jesus brings. She believe this best happens in community and is passionate about bringing as many people as possible, into the Community of Jesus. She enjoys brewing up special coffee drinks for friends and family- and/or meeting at local coffee shops for conversation and prayer. And she loves her family!
